I have problems with starting the game. Install is all fine but when i try to start it says it is missing the d3dx9_42.dll file. At the end of the installation i had to install c++ or whatever.

I know why there are no seeds on this. If you unpack the rars you'll need 30Gb of space to have both the torrent running and the .iso to mount or burn. not many people have the luxury of having so much space readily available.

Ive downloaded and installed it, put the crack in the right folder etc.

However i cant start the game, im getting the following error:

"The application has failed to start because its side-by-side configuration is incorrect. Please see the application event log for more detail"

Now im not a total scrub with computers, but this stuff i cant fix. There are some threads on help forums, but no fix, or no understandable language could be found.

I just wanted to get people straight.

1. It works just fine.

2. Your anti-virus detecting a trojan is false, heres why. Most companies will flag and mark cracks that are found for their game as trojans in order to discourage users thinking it is a real trojan (which is not, perfectly harmless) to stop them from playing and spread the word saying it is a trojan so others as well would stop playing them.

3. This applies to almost all the new games being made and po **** r hits. M'm not saying all cracks are harmless, but i KNOW for sure this one is clean. Even THOUGH my anti-virus has detected it as trojan.

4. USE AT YOUR OWN RISK, just like all of us now by downloading it.

everything's fine despite the two things. the first is dark view?!, the second is that game crashes after trying to enter into marine's campain... just after plane intro... bzzzyt to the windows 7 x64 ;/

OK **** o everyone. The game based on Authors instructions has been crashing after the intro. I got it working flawless DirX 11 on Geforce 555M full details except AA 30-40 fps. Please install the game as instructed by the Author above. I did not use any cracks provided by the above author YET before installing the following updates. Go get the updates 1-6 here,

from this piratebay torrent select the following 3 files that contain all updates.

Aliens vs. Predator Update 1 and 2 - SKiDROW
Aliens vs. Predator Update 3 - SKiDROW

The above linked piratebay torrent includes THE SAME FULL INSTALL DVDs as the torrent on this TORRENTZ page. After downloading the updates, unrar them, and install them in order 1-6 (it worked for me).

Last, I only used crack from the Aliens vs. Predator Update 4 to 6 - SKiDROW update (3 files in total....AvP, AvP_DX11, and steam_api.dll), plus (this is I think important) I also copied two more files from Update 3 (namely steam_appid and steamclient.dll) So in total I rewrote 5 files after clean installation. Launching DirX 11 worked, I have Win7 64.

I hope this helps, it took me 4 hours of research. The game look really good btw.

My respect to the producers of this game as well as to people who made it possible to play without Steam or DVDs.
